How To Wear Your Jettah & Till Design Headpiece
Not sure how to best wear your new piece with you amazing outfit?
Here's a few hints and tips...
AFTER YOU UNPACK YOUR HEADPIECE...
OR WEAR IT AFTER A LONG DAY AT THE RACES
Please check that the design has everything in place - even though I meticulously pack them to ensure no movement, sometimes trims can get a little bent or out of place. Steam can help to straighten and realign feathers, and often trims are wired and can be moved back into position. Always keep it in the box provided, and white tissue paper included, to ensure no colour transfer can occur onto the headpiece.
Please note Brims and Leathers and straws can be affected by heat, excessive sunlight if not stored in its box, and water. Please keep them in a cool dry place. Avoid wearing your hat in the rain.
WHAT SIZE CROWN/HEAD MEASUREMENT?
All Jettah & Till Headpieces are "One Size Fits All" they are designed to sit on an angle, with elastic or with a headband, which allows for flexibility in head sizes.
WHICH SIDE OF HEAD?
Depending on your purchase and what you have requested if it is a custom, check the image on the website, to gauge the best position. This way you can also see how the trims are supposed to look ;when worn. Perchers are worn to on the front of your forehead gripping to the front centre of your hair with the elastic around your head.
HOW TO SECURE..
I always ensure the designs fit securely to your head, but please keep in mind everyone's head is a different size and shape.
Hair pins are the perfect "go to" where required - please add for extra security depending on your hairstyle - over the elastic and across the comb especially if you have fine hair. Never forget strong hairspray and teasing/back combing hair can be your best friend in assisting to secure the piece more.
ELASTIC...
I generally use blonde elastic, this allows you to easily paint or colour the elastic with a felt pen to match your hair colour where required, unless it is a custom piece. The elastic can be knotted to make the headpiece more secure if need be and tucked under you headpiece.
You may prefer to hide your hat elastic to give the best look, this can be done by combing forward the front quarter of your hair, then placing the fascinator on and then pulling hair back over, your hairdresser in some cases may be able to assist.
